This website works without cookies, tracking or analytics tools. Fonts, scripts and images are loaded from the same server as the page itself; no third-party content is embedded.

Hosting on GitHub Pages

This website is served through GitHub Pages. The provider is GitHub Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, GitHub processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested address, the previously visited page, and your browser and operating system. GitHub keeps this data in server logs to deliver the website securely and reliably. I have no access to these logs myself.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is a secure, reliable and cost-effective provision of the website.

Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. GitHub is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR. Details are in GitHub's privacy statement.

Encryption

The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS, visible as “https://” in the address bar.

Storage in your browser

When you switch the colour scheme or the language, the website remembers your choice in your browser's local storage (localStorage, entries “theme” and “sprache”). On your first visit the page also reads your browser's language setting to send you to the matching language version. This information stays on your device, is not transmitted to me or anyone else and is not used to recognise you.

The legal basis is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG, as the storage is strictly necessary to provide the setting you asked for. You can delete these entries at any time by clearing the site data for arbnor.me in your browser.

Contact by email

If you write to me, I process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is being able to answer requests. I delete your message once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. It is not passed on to third parties.

Links to other websites and services

This website links to LinkedIn, GitHub, M&Y Softworks GbR and my own services under arbnor.me (for example Nextcloud, Vaultwarden, authentik and the status page), among others. Loading this website does not transmit any data to them. Only when you click a link do you open the respective site, where its own privacy information applies. For my own services, which are open to invited users only, separate information is available on request.

No automated decision-making

There is no automated decision-making or profiling. You are not obliged to provide personal data; without the technically necessary connection data, however, the website cannot be delivered.
