Password manager is moving

Change the server address in your Bitwarden client from bitwarden.arbnor.me to vault.arbnor.me.

Updated 03 Sep 2026

Our password manager is getting a shorter address of its own: bitwarden.arbnor.me becomes vault.arbnor.me. The service behind it stays the same.

Only one setting changes for you — the server address in your Bitwarden app or browser extension. Your vault, your passwords and your master password stay exactly as they are. Nothing is lost.

Three steps to switch over

On every device where you use the password manager:

  1. Sign out. Open the app or the extension and sign out. Your vault stays safely on the server; you will fetch it again in a moment.
  2. Change the server address. On the sign-in screen — before you enter your email and password — open the server setting and replace https://bitwarden.arbnor.me with https://vault.arbnor.me. Then save.
  3. Sign in again. Sign in as usual with your email address and your master password.

After that, everything is as before.

Where the server address lives

Browser extension. On the sign-in screen, tap the cog icon or the region selector at the top, choose “Self-hosted” and enter the new address.

iOS and Android app. Also on the sign-in screen: tap the cog at the top left, switch “Region” to “Self-hosted” and enter the server address.

Desktop app (Windows, Mac, Linux). On the sign-in screen, open the region selector, choose “Self-hosted” and enter the address.

In every case it is enough to fill in the main server address (https://vault.arbnor.me). Leave the other fields empty.

Signing in with a passkey or security key

If you use a passkey or a hardware security key as your second factor, in rare cases the sign-in may not work straight away after the move. If that happens, set up the second factor once more and sign-in will work again. For most people the switch works without this step.

If something does not work

You can check whether the service is reachable at uptime.arbnor.me. If everything there is green and sign-in still fails, drop me a line.
